President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has on Saturday 8th April commissioned new police prisons officers. The great event was held at Prisons Academy and Training School Grounds – Luzira, A total number of 73 Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Prisons, 128 Cadet Principal Officers, and 122 Principal Officers on command course. On Friday afternoon, President Yoweri Museveni held talks with the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi at State House Entebbe. This meeting has come in less than 48 hours left to the long awaited Kabaka’s run which is due to take place on Sunday in Kampala. During his visit, Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi was a companied by Buganda Premier Charles Peter Mayiga and Prince David Wasajja. Makerere University will recall the degrees of all students found guilty of having benefited from the marks alteration, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. John Ddumba Ssentamu has warned. Last month, Makerere University closed the online marks system and suspended the issuance of academic transcripts after it emerged that some staff in the academic registrar’s office were tampering with student’s marks. A senior SPLM-IO member allied to former First Vice President Riek Machar has urged the African Union and the international community to revive the 2015 peace deal.
