The proposed cities are Arua, Mbarara, Gulu, Jinja, Fort Portal, Mbale, Masaka, Wakiso, Entebbe, Hoima, Lira, Moroto, Nakasongola, Soroti and Kabale. While meeting a delegation of MPs from Namibia, Oulanyah said that it is common for running government programmes and entities not to undergo any form of impact assessment. The Minister of State for Finance, Hon. David Bahati, has assured legislators that Uganda will not lose its properties in Kenya following the enactment of a new law limiting foreign ownership of property in the country.
