The ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party Secretary General Mrs. Justine Kasule Lumumba has slammed the opposition Forum for Democratic change (FDC) party for not attending the historic IPOD summit. The leading opposition group, FDC pulled out of the summit, backtracking on a commitment they had made earlier.It is the only political party with representation in Parliament that has decided to boycott the meeting, the first of its kind in Uganda. President Uhuru Kenyatta has unveiled the new generation coins that will begin to circulate Tuesday. Speaking at the Central Bank of Kenya Headquarters, President Kenyatta commended the CBK for undertaking public participation in the exercise. The new coins are in compliance with the 2010 Constitution. The Sh1 coin bears the image of a giraffe, Sh5 coin a rhino, Sh10 a lion and Sh20 an elephant. Uganda’s biggest paint company Sadolin has opened its latest color center along Main Street, Gulu Municipality in a bid to expand market reach and consolidate its position in the Ugandan market. The establishment, Sadolin’s sixth in the country will offer experiential shopping for high end customers and will be residence to all Sadolin products and services including decorative paints, automotive paints, and coatings among others. The Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) this morning announced astonishing plan and commitment to improve the Ferry Services in the pearl of Africa.
