KAMPALA: The Hon. the Chief Justice, Bart M. Katureebe, on Friday afternoon swore in two of the newly appointed Chief Magistrate at a function in his Chambers at the Supreme Court in Kampala. The two, HW David Sayuni and HW Nasulu Ntalo Hussein, were formerly Senior State Attorneys with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution. They were recently appointed alongside 16 other Magistrates Grade One who were promoted to the rank of Chief Magistrate by the Judicial Service Commission. A landmark sponsorship deal has been announced by StarTimes after taking over both the naming and broadcast rights of the Uganda Premier League and FUFA Big League. President Yoweri Kuguta Museveni has warned Ugandans to avoid self-medication. Speaking during the requiem service of the late Yona Namawa Wapakhabulo at All Saints Cathedral, Museveni said Yona’s death could have been avoided. “I call upon Ugandans to take caution on matters of health and avoid self-medication. Youth have petitioned Parliament to fast track the Sexual Offences Bill to help curb the increasing cases of violence against women and girls. Hon.
