Col. Ibrahim Abiringa has firmly given his take of advocating for the lifting the president’s age limit.

Speaking during and exclusive interview with NBS Television, Abiriga added that There is no prophet that has been sent by God when another one is still there therefore Museveni should be given his time.

“If we have President Museveni out, we shall have problems. See what happened in Libya!” he said.

Abiriga also said that People want Museveni to stay president and he feels no one will help the country like him.

The issue of amending the presidential term limits has sparked  a lot factions within Ugandan politicians mostly in the ruling party ( National Resistance Movement – NRM) with others asking the president to give room for another person to lead the country and others saying he should rule until the end “Pakalast”.

Unless an amendment is done, Museveni, 72, who came to power in 1986 doesn’t qualify to stand for the next election in 2021 because he will be past the constitutional age limit of 75 for presidential candidates.
