NAIROBI: A special sitting of MPs was cancelled indefinitely due to fears of mass coronavirus infections among them and a warning from the Ministry of Health, the Nation has learnt. Betty Nambooze, Nyanzi is receiving treatment at Mengo Hospital. The parliament’s appointments committee yesterday rejected the re-appointment of Dr Johnson Byabashaija as the commissioner-general of the Uganda Prisons Service on the basis of old age. The same committee also rejected the appointment of James Mwanje as his deputy on the same grounds.
