Former Makerere University senior researcher Dr Stella Nyanzi on Friday initiated dramatic scenes at the Buganda Road Court. This was after court proved her guilty of committing offensive communication and breach of the computer Misuse act. Andrew Brian Mayega has died just one week to his ordination under unclear circumstances. Just like any other priest, Mayega has been looking forward to his ordination after going through the hassle to the final day. His ordination was set for August 10, 2019. However, as fate would have it, he died barely a week to the day. He died at St Francis Hospital Nsambya. The cause of death could not readily be established. Kenya has joined the league of Africa oil exporters after its first consignment of 200,000 barrels fetched $12 million on Thursday afternoon. That means the sweet light crude sold at $60 per barrel, an uptick of nearly 40 per cent above the $43 per barrel that the government had set as the break-even point for the Early Oil Pilot Scheme. Officials from the Office of the President have failed to account for the expenditure of shs2.16 billion that was budgeted for activities of the National Secretariat for Patriotism Clubs (NSPC) for the financial year 2017/2018. According to Members of Parliament on the Public Accounts Committee, the money was supposed to cater for monitoring of 800 patriotism clubs countrywide but NSPC spent it on only 403 clubs.
