Tooro Sub-region leaders during the weekend unanimously passed a resolution to endorse President Yoweri Museveni as their sole candidate for the NRM chairperson seat and their 2021 presidential candidate. The resolution was passed after an engagement between the President and the over 1,000 leaders in Fort Portal town. Leaders at all levels should make fighting household poverty their number one priority lest the situation becomes a national crisis, President Museveni has said. The Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga has challenged female lawmakers to ensure pending bills are handled expeditiously before the general elections in 2021.
