The new facility, which is bigger and more accessible, will house the Bank’s Head Office as well as the Church House bank branch, with two distinct sections one for retail customers and the other for corporate customers, both located on the ground floor. Zimbabwe’s ex-president Robert Mugabe says he will not vote for his successor and former ally in Monday’s elections. In a surprise speech, Mr Mugabe said he could not support Zanu-PF’s Emmerson Mnangagwa after being forced from office by the “party I founded”. “I cannot vote for those who tormented me,” he said. Stanbic Bank has entered into a partnership with CURAD, an agribusiness incubator that trains Micro and Small to Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) farmers to explore their full potential for better productivity. Following the intensive dialogue between students and the administration, Makerere University Council has approved the 15% tuition increment. This comes just three weeks left to the start of the new academic year 2018/2019. The student leaders in their recommendation said such an incremental increment instead of the University Council’s approved 41-91 per cent wholesome increment would not only be affordable but would also generate the needed revenues for the institution.
