Fan factory has suspended its national theatre shows due to the ongoing renovations of the national theatre that is likely to take weeks. In the press release from fan factory, they stated that the construction involves the replacement of the roof and renovation of the auditorium, an activity that does not favor them to continue hosting their comedy shows while the show is construction is taking place. Phiona Mutesi commonly known as “Queen of Katwe”, recently helped Northwest University win the Pan-American Intercollegiate Chess Championships in its first season. This after Northwest swept Oberlin College 4-0. Oberlin had previously won the championships for the past four years.
