First Son Lt. Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Senior Presidential Advisor in charge of Special Operations on Wednesday turned 45 years. The former commander of Special Forces Command (SFC) was born on April 24, 1974 and yesterday received glowing tribute on social media for his 45th birthday. One person has been confirmed dead and several others hospitalized after a trailer failed to brake and rammed into cars in traffic jam at Kira Road near Ntinda. Kampala Metropolitan Traffic Police Commander Norman Musinga confirmed that one person had so far died and 16 others are admitted at Mulago Referral Hospital. The accident took place on Wednesday evening at Kiira road police junction. Kyadondo East County MP Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has been summoned to Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) following his ongoing house arrest after fracas at One Love Beach, Busaabala. The United States of America (USA) Embassy in Uganda has condemned the brutal arrest of Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine. Bobi Wine was brutally arrested on Monday at his One Love Beach, Busaabala where he was set to hold his Kyarenga Extra Concert before it was blocked and cancelled by Police. The Chief Justice, Bart Katureebe has flown to South Africa for cataract surgery days after his Court of Appeal upheld constitutional judgment on Age limit. Sources in the judiciary indicate that Justice Katureebe left the country on Monday around 2:30pm aboard Fly Emirates. He was accompanied by his wife Bernadette Katureebe and personal assistant, Aloysius Natwijuka who will be attending to him after the surgery. The procedure involves the removal of the eye lens and replacing it with an artificial one.
