Kyadondo East lawmaker Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has decried the manner in which government has handled the issue of Doctors strike.

This statement follows his decision to pay a courtesy visit to Kasangati Health Center where he was welcomed by empty beds.

Bobi Wine noted that the rate is at a millipede speed something that is risky for the entire nation.

The vocal musician turned politician hailed the doctors who have embarked on saving lives through attending to emergencies amidst the struggle for a better working condition.

“Dr. Nyenje explained to me that even if they’re on strike, they attend to emergency cases and I was thankful that two mothers had been attended to as they gave birth in the caeserian section. He asked me together with my fellow MPs to engage the Executive so as to see their working conditions improved.” Bobi wine said.

Bobi Wine criticized the government for being the causers of the current situation since they have failed to prioritize important issues like health but instead injected taxpayer’s money in passing senseless issues like age limit removal.

“We stand with you compatriots. The doctors are not our enemies- they are simply questioning why those who govern us should continue to waste our taxes and abandon things which matter to the citizen! A better Uganda can only be realized if everyone is proactive. I will raise these issues on the floor of Parliament when the House resumes.” He added.
