President Uhuru Kenyatta has on Monday, June 4, instructed top officers in various ministries to step aside with immediate effect so as to pave way for fresh vetting.
A circular seen by Kenyan media, Uhuru keen on cleaning his government, also directed Heads of Procurement and Accounting in Ministries, Departments, Agencies and State corporation to hand over to their immediate deputies.
Further, the officers have been instructed to submit any personal information to the Office of the Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua before June 8.
