Cabinet has approved a revised allowance structure for public servants which will come in effect on 1st July.
Speaking to journallists at the Uganda Media Center, the Deputy Government Spokesperson said that consider officials working overtime, those working outside the country, transport allowance, accommodation, meals allowances among others.
He added that this was done to address disparities between the high and lower-ranking officers following the increment in the standards of living.
Public servants allowances were last revised in 2008 implying that this has been considered after 10 years.
