Without life support machine, Zaake may die – LOP

Leader of Opposition, Hon Betty Aol Ochan has called upon Ugandans to restlessly put the Mityana Municipality Member of Parliament in their prayers.

Speaking to the Media shortly after visiting the bedridden lawmaker this afternoon at Rubaga Hospital, the Gulu legislator said his health conditions are all worrying and so tense.

She says Hon. Zaake is so frail and on life support machine implying that without the machine, then he may easily die.

She says the lawmaker does know much of what is transpiring now, can’t talk, walk and even breathes with difficulty.

Hon. Zaake is among the 34 people arrested in Arua following the ugly events of Monday 13th August 2018 as the campaigns came to a close, a crowd in an procession is alleged to have pelted stones at the convoy of H.E the President breaking the rear glass window of one of the cars and later one person was shot dead in this whole fracas.

Among the other arrested is the newly elected Arua Municipality lawmaker Hon. Kassiano Wadir, Jinja East MP Hon. Paul Mweru, Hon. Gerald Karuhanga (Ntungamo municipality), Hon. Kyagulanyi Robert (Kyadondo East), former MP Mike Mabike, Activist Kasule Ismail among others and all these are facing treason charges.
