Busia Opposition Joint Candidate Refuses Museveni Job, Stays in the Race

Democratic Party’s Candidate for the Busia LC.V by-election, Hasubi Deo Njoki has made a dramatic U-turn on Museveni’s job.

The latest is that Njoki has rejected the Uganda Human Rights Commission (UHRC) job as commissioner that had been offered to him to drop out of the race in favour of the NRM candidate.

During a press conference at City House, Njoki said that he is not pulling out of the race because it would be betrayal of the highest level not only from the DP but entire opposition parties who fronted him as a sole candidate.

Njoki explained that if the UHRC appointment had come before his nomination then he would gladly serve in the Commission.

He was fully nominated on 06th November and dully seconded by the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) that withdrew their Candidate for the opposition to compete favorably.
