#TONSEMBERERA: Uganda’s Covid-19 Cases Hit 281

Yesterday, 27 May, 2020, 28 new COVID-19 cases confirmed. The total confirmed cases are now 281.

According to Ministry of health, 21 new cases are truck drivers who arrived from South Sudan via Elegu while 7 new cases are contacts to previously confirmed truck drivers.
The contacts were under quarantine at the time of test.

🔹Additionally, 7 positive foreign truck drivers (4 Tanzanians, 1 Eritrean, 1 Congolese and 1 Burundian) were handed over to their country of origin

🔸Total Recoveries: 69

🔹Samples from Points of Entry tested today: 1,456

🔸Samples from community and contacts: 548

🔹Total samples tested today: 2,004
