Rwenzori Television signals were tested and Free to Air services launched at Trans Africa Garden in Kasese town.
Officiating as chief guest at the launch, the Kasese resident District commissioner Lt Joe Walusimbi hailed the area MP Hon Ferigo Kambale for the hard work and fulfillment of his pledges to his electorate stressing that most people in life make promises but fail to put them to action.
Lt Walusimbi said Ferigo had challenged other leaders hailing him for the heart of generosity before describing his opening of the television station in Kasese District as a real sacrifice of his earnings.
The RDC hailed the people of Kasese for having voted for Hon Ferigo and the national resistance movement NRM party adding that every success story was because of voting wisely.
Lt Walusimbi urged the people of Kasese to embrace the Rwenzori Television like the Buganda have loved their BBS television before cautioning people with selfish interests from making unnecessary criticism of their own developmental projects.
The Kasese Municipality member of Parliament Hon Ferigo hailed the people for voting and praying for him saying the opening up of the Rwenzori Television has not been an easy journey therefore asking people to continue praying for him to enable him fulfill the remaining promises.
