Famous political analyst and senior presidential advisor on media affairs Tamale Mirundi has revealed that Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s 48th grand birthday party was not just a party.
Tamale says that the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) Land Forces commander was sending a strong political statement to his competitors in the succession battle to replace president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
Mirundi, a close friend to the first son divulged that his friend wants to show his political strength and seriousness to replace his father before his competitors, especially those within the first family and the double dealers.
“The boy wanted to expose those two boys who have been using his name to get money from his brother-in-law, he knows them, that is why he wanted to send a strong statement to them,” Mirundi revealed as he appeared on one of the radio stations around Kampala.
He also revealed that Muhoozi personally invited him to show his sworn enemies, senior journalist Andrew Mwenda and minister Frank Tumwebaze that he is also a valuable asset in the succession battle and that everybody should stand in their lane.
