PHOTOS: Bobi Wine Pulls Mammoth Crowds In Omoro, Says State Is Afraid Of Their Growing Support

The National Unity Platform president Hon. Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has challenged Ugandans to stand their ground in demanding for their rights.

Bobi Wine made this comment while addressing a large group of supporters in Omoro County where he had gone to campaign for the NUP Candidate Toolit Simon Aketcha.

Bobi Wine also said that State is already afraid of their support and they have started arresting their supporters in the areas.

According the Electoral Commission Road map, elections in Omoro are supposed to take place on 26th May 2022.

Yesterday, by the time we got the terrible news about the accident involving our people, we were entering Omoro County. This is the kind of reception we received. Despite being a scarcely populated district and having arrived late, we found people waiting for us at every stop! I thank the people of Omoro for the love and support towards NUP and our candidate, Hon. Toolit Simon Akecha. No wonder the regime went into panic mode and the military started arresting our leaders and mobilisers throughout the night.” Bobi Wine said.

The Omoro seat went vacant following the death of former Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Jacob Oulanyah who succumbed to organ failure in the United States.
