A senior officer from the Ministry of Education and Sport is nursing severe wounds following his involvement into a quake deal with Kampala’s smart wires.
Dr. Charles Kanyesigye, the principal government owned Nsamizi Training Institute in Mpigi allegedly trusted city brokers with an assignment to get him a prime estate piece of land where he would erect a second multimillion retirement mansion.
But before this move could see light, the same agents allegedly surfaced with a sharp land deal (Kagwirawo) in the upcountry side of Nakasongola.
“You know Dr. Charles is an old man nearing retirements but I wonder why he still gets excited with black-market deals. Can you imagine these guys assured him how the area where they had secured square miles of land located in a strategic area where the government had discovered oil.” Our source intimated to us.
Its alleged that the deal was, he would buy this huge piece of land quickly, then resale it to government and the oil and gas investors at a much higher price shortly.
“So the bigman drove the his land cruiser up and down, rushed to drain all his accounts, possibly including those Nsamizi since there is no way his salary and his earnings from the Ssembabule farm could raise that amount in the shortest time. He staked 3 billion which was hand-delivered in only two installments. The Irony is that this payment was done before visiting the said land in the outskates of the oil reach province.” Our reliable source narrated the story adding that it was after visiting the site that the learned fellow realized that he had encountered what several people call ‘Kampala Si Bizimpe’.” Our source added.
Dr. Kanyesigye had been sold land whose majority part was a swamp under the custody of the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA).
The man with a Doctorate would not believe that he had been conned by senior six dropouts who have till now allegedly flown out of the country to celebrate their big catch.
The disgruntled senior citizen has made efforts to report the matter to police and other responsible authorities to the indisciplined partners busted.
“I’m telling you, it’s a laughable matter, Mzeei reported the matter to police but he is also equally slow in following since he also fears that he can be interrogated on the source of his large sum of money bigger than the capitation grant allocated to some districts.” Our source said.
From the occurrence of this incident, Dr. has since then been in and out of the hospital, something that might be linked to the bad deal.
