I will Shock You My Dear – Gen. Muhoozi Tells Off Opposition

President Yoweri Museveni’s son general Muhoozi Kainerugaba has stressed that he will succeed his father as the head of state in Uganda.


In a tweet, on Wednesday night March 1, 2023, Muhoozi said that those fighting the truth about him succeeding his father will be very disappointed.


“I will be President of Uganda after my father. Those fighting the truth will be very disappointed!!! I will organize and make our country great as Almighty God always intended it to be !!!” Muhoozi tweeted.

Muhoozi first signaled his desire to go public about his presidential ambitions during his 48th birthday celebrations.


The birthday celebrations at State House in Entebbe on April 24, 2022, which was attended by President Museveni and his Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame, created quite a buzz in the media and were seen by many as an effort to make Muhoozi popular as he prepares the ground for a shot at the next presidential elections.
After the birthday party, Muhoozi increasingly become assertive about his ascending to the presidency.


Museveni’s son publicly announced on May 1, 2022, that would take power. Muhoozi promised to increase budget allocation to the Sports docket when he takes over.


“I consider President @KagutaMuseveni, and President @PaulKagame the best strategists that ever lived! When Team MK wins power in this country, which we will! Our first act will be to increase the Sports budget!” Muhoozi tweeted.
