The Daughter of the suspected murdered businessman Henry Katanga will return to court on 22nd January 2024 from Luzira prison where she was remanded.

On Wednesday 29 year old Martha Nkwanzi surrendered to court to answer charges in relation to her father’s death after court issued a warrant for her arrest.
Nakawa Court Chief Magistrate Elias Kakooza, had ordered for the arrest of Nkwanzi who is accused of destroying/ moving valuable evidence regarding her father’s death after she failed to voluntarily appear in court for two months.
Her lawyer had initially told court that Nkwanzi was in un-named hospital being treated for postpartum care as a new mother, however, senior state prosecutor Jonathan Muwaganya objected to the said submissions on ground that the suspect had no valuable reason to not appear in court since she was receiving the said medication as an outpatient.
She is jointly charged with her elder sister Patrica Kakwanza, and their mother; Molly Katanga who is also a suspect though she has never appeared in court to take plea to the said charges because she is sick.

Other suspects in the said murder include; the family shamba-boy George Amanyire and a medical practitioner Charles Otai who are charged with being accessories after the fact.They are said to have assisted the family members to hide evidence.
