Modernizing Road Network At Namanve Industrial Park Stands at 70% – Dott Services

Uganda’s Construction giant Lagan – Dott Services Limited has continued to register impressive performance in implementing its mandate of modernizing the road network at the prestigious Kampala Industrial Business Park at Namanve.

According to the Project Director, Eng Andrew Bamanya, the construction process now stands above 70% and all is being to ensure that the timelines are met.

In 2019, the government of Uganda secured a loan from the UK government to revamp critically deteriorated infrastructure facilities, encompassing roads, water and sewage systems, electricity, and ICT, within the Namanve area. As of the present, the project’s progress has exceeded 70%, and it is on track to be completed by 2025.

Eng. Bamanya called upon Ugandans to remain calm because the most complicated tasks and infrastructure equipment have been fully put in place.

“While executing engineering works, the hardest stages are always at the start of the project, where numerous technical steps like designing, soil tests and analysis, excavations, surveying and procurement of the right equipment among others are done. Once this stage is executed well, then the rest of the project has to move smoothly. As we speak today, there is no need to worry about project, we are now implementing final touches.” Eng. Bamanya said.

He says the entire water and sewage system is done, electricity infrastructure is also in place and the roads are being professionally worked upon step by step.

On commenting about the recent social media fuel crisis allegations, Bamanya unequivocally labeled the claim as a baseless and calculated act of blackmail orchestrated by competitors whose aim is to downplay the great work being done at the site.

He clearly noted that Lagan – Dott remains unwavering in its commitment to the timely and successful completion of the Namanve project, and it stands firm in its dedication to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in the face of unsubstantiated accusations.
