Gunfire rocked Kamwema village in Endiizi Sub County in Isingiro district on Wednesday after angry residents raided Kamwema Police post baying for the blood of three suspected livestock thieves. They included Moses Kakoza from Kyakatuma Sub County, Steven Musinguzi from Kakuto Sub County in Rakai district and another only identified as Robert from Kamwema in Isingiro. Students of St. Mary’s College, Kisubi have petitioned the Speaker to join the fight against cancer through raising money to support the Uganda Cancer Institute. The students under their Club Human Initiative for Cancer Awareness said that their objective was to raise money, which will be used to impact on the children suffering from cancer. South Sudan government said no settlement to review the 2015 peace agreement emerged from the IGAD summit in Addis Ababa on Monday, pointing out that the revitalization will give impetus to the deal. Government has announced it has run short of ordinary passports and will now start issuing the remaining few to only emergency cases such as patients seeking treatment abroad or people travelling to conduct government business and students who get foreign scholarships. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, those who do not fit into the above category will have to wait longer, to get a passport once they apply for it.
