He said Cabinet sat on Monday November 11th 2019 at State House, Entebbe, and approved the establishment of the Eastern Africa Fusion and Liaison Unit (EAFLU) in Uganda. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has this morning left for #Kenya to attend the International Conference on Population and Development. Convening in #Nairobi, the summit aims at mobilising political will and financial commitments from leaders to urgently implement the ICPD Programme of Action. Some of the commitments that leaders will be addressing themselves to include; achieving zero unmet need for family planning information and services, zero preventable maternal deaths, zero sexual and gender-based violence and harmful practices against women and girls.

Mac East Africa in partnership with the Government of Uganda has today launched a workshop to train bus drivers and operators to observe road safety and save lives. The five-day training aims at equipping the participants with the skills to observe basic traffic guidelines including speed limits and avoid reckless driving.
