Stanbic Bank has today awarded graduation certificates to 420 entrepreneurs from 119 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) through its business incubator. This is the second cohort to graduate since the incubator was launched earlier this year. Cohort one saw 94 entrepreneurs from 34 businesses graduate; therefore making a 2018 total of 153 SME companies and 514 entrepreneurs. President Yoweri Museveni has said how he doesn’t need sensitization or lectures to understand that doctors need a better pay. Speaking while adding the Uganda Medical association last night during their dinner, Museveni pledged to continue improving their working conditions as the country targets to have over than 80,000 medical workers. Teefe Trust Bank may have been closed 25 years ago but an unconcluded court case has prevented the Central Bank from fully winding up the institution. The Central Bank closed Teefe Trust Bank in 1993 over insider lending and accumulation of bad debt to the point that it could not effectively operate. This is in a bid to widen the digital migration coverage and also increase access to information and knowledge for the rural poor.
