Former Presidential Candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye this afternoon made an impromptu stop at Kamwokya, a Kampala suburb an event that made the entire town impassable.
Besigye’s stopover was to condole with workmates of late Galiwango Degeya, who passed on last night in Kitovu Hospital.
Galiwango operated a butchery at Kamwokya market, from where the seasoned politician bought meat. The Democratic Party (DP) diehard, Galiwango was the biggest Mobiliser for FDC in Kamwokya in the recently climaxed 2016 general elections.
He ensured he served Kizza Besigye himself, even if he had many employees at his butchery.
Galiwango will be laid to rest tomorrow at his ancestral grounds in Masaka.
Besigye offered to clear his outstanding medical Bills of shs 1M at the hospital and encouraged colleagues to remain strong, even when their strongest has departed.
