Mukono Municipality lawmaker Hon. Betty Nambooze has castigated the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) over failure to offer good governance to the Pearl of Africa.

Speaking during a televised programme on Tuesday night, Nambooze described the government as a team that has consolidated its power on nothing but lies, something that has killed its ties with the locals.

” I want to be on record, Most Ugandans lost confidence in this government. We rarely believe anything from them.” Nambooze said this while commenting on the poison claims that has recently attracted alot of controversy.

She also blamed government for not doing enough to boost service delivery.

“Just take an example, I brought a proposal to Parliament. I talked about a hospital. Uganda has been spending UGX 360 billion every year to take government officials for treatment abroad, but that money is a lot and listened? No one!” Nambooze said.

In the last few days, the issue of medical tourism has been one of the most trending issues in Uganda.

This got viral following the death of two top government officials ( The governor of the Central Bank of Uganda Tumusiime Emmanuel Mutebile and the Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon. Jacob Oulanyah) who netezines claim wouldn’t be dead by now if Uganda had a functional health system.
