EXPOZED: ICEA Lion Insurance On The Spot Over Horror Customer Experience  

Celebrated News anchor Andrew Kyamagero has entered the new year with a broken soul courtesy of ICEA Lion Insurance Company over failure to honor his comprehensive motor insurance policy that has gone unsettled since mid-November 2023.

In a lengthy thread shared on his X platform dubbed the Insurance horror story, Kyamagero describes the assurance company as a team of conmen “Bafere” who he accuses for not keeping their word after he was involved in an accident but was instead rewarded with shoddy services.

“On 19th Nov ’23, I had an accident, reaching out to my ICEA agent who requested paperwork. police report, license. Which I gladly offered. Car sent for fixing and I was given a wish DMC car, and assessor justified the claim, only needing a new engine and minor repairs.” Kyamagero posted.

He added saying though his insurance claim was supposed to award his car with a brand new engine but the mechanics meticulously washed it to make look new.

“Fast forward to 9th December ’23, car returned. But guess what? Upon driving, fuel consumption dropped, weird sounds emerged. I Called ICEA agent George, and an assessor confirmed the horror—MY OLD ENGINE was fixed, meticulously washed to make it look Brand New. Remember, the DV had reflected a replacement of engine not Repair. Naye nebagikwatamu awoo. Its hard to believe in Insurance in this country.” Kyamagero painfully narrates the Festive season dilemma.

The self-proclaimed Omuntu Wa Wansi also lampoons ICEA through their service provider Easy ride who gave him the same a DMC Wish, a downgrade from his car!

“This DMC had no hand brake, terrible braking, no airbags, no AC. A ticking time bomb! An email acknowledged the mistake but the fix? A DMC Wish! Era when you find me driving mpola mpola , just drive past me I am unable to go past 20 Km/hr due to safety concerns. @ICEALION, you’re playing with lives here! Where’s the promised “better driving” and “convenience”?” Kyamagero further pens adding that from 14th Dec ’23 till date, the circus continues. Calls unanswered, promises unfulfilled. Garage demands payment proof, but the insurance company goes silent. Xmas travels canceled, but no urgency from ICEA to expedite fixes. Bafere Be careful with this insurance company.

He also says that several Ugandans have suffered massive plight with Insurance campanies but only that their voices gave always not been heard, thus calling upon different individuals to inbox him their experiences.  

“Reached out to agent Godfrey and Opio; assurances flowed, but reality? A hang-up from Derrick saying, ” this is Beyond insurance policy, deal with your garage.” No answers, no accountability.” He said.
